MOTHERS UNDER FIRE: Nadine's story

For 15 long years, Nadine, a 61-year-old widow, has carried the quiet weight of hardship. After losing her husband to kidney disease, she was left to raise their son on her own. At just five years old, he became her reason to keep going, and now, at twenty, he works tirelessly to support them both and pay for his university studies.
