THE GLIMMER OF HOPE
Over the past two years, South Sudan has borne witness to an unprecedented refugee influx, with more than 1.2 million individuals—many returning South Sudanese and Sudanese fleeing conflict—entering the country since April 2023. The rainy season, which began in June, has caused severe flooding that has displaced 200,000 people inside South Sudan. Humanitarian and government resources are completely overwhelmed; thus, millions of people, including children, are facing food insecurity approaching famine.
Our team on the ground in South Sudan is fighting flooding and despair to deliver nourishing hot meals twice daily to affected families. At the same time, our medical team is likewise responding with donated medicines and medical supplies—such as rehydration salts, antibiotics, and fever-reducers—to help treat everything from dehydration to cholera. These integrated services aim to stabilize acute crises while upholding dignity and well-being.
The scope and scale of the crisis in South Sudan is beyond comprehension and the medicine and meals we are supplying seem hardly enough to make a dent in curbing the suffering we have encountered there. Yet we refuse to turn away. We will remain on the ground, buoyed by your prayers and support, bringing hope and relief to those who need it most.
Thank you for giving. For those suffering all over the world, hope exists because others care.

Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me. —Matthew 25:40
You can feed a child in South Sudan two meals a day for less than five dollars a day. Please pray about what you can do to serve the least of these.
