On June 22nd, gunmen attacked Mar Elias Church in Damascus, Syria.
[PHOTO RELEASE REQUIRED IF AN IDENTIFIABLE PERSON IS PICTURED]The note
ISIS gunmen opened fire outside of Mar Elias Church [Saint Elijah Church] in Damascus yesterday before detonating a suicide vest inside the church. More than 20 parishoners were killed and dozens more injured by the blast that severely damaged the church and nearby structures.
Witness as Ministry began responding immediately, sending our Aleppo team to Damascus and mounting an emergency appeal for aid to impacted families. Our response includes medical aid, food aid, temporary shelter, hygiene supplies, and—most importantly—prayer and spiritual support.
Please consider how you might help your persecuted Christian brothers and sisters today. You don’t have to travel to the Middle East to make an impact. We will do the heavy lifting with your prayers and support.
