medicine and miracles

he came for medicine. we prayed for miracles.

Abdel*, a man in his thirties, was displaced from his home in Lebanon due to war. Along with his wife and elderly father-in-law, who required ongoing medical treatment, Abdel sought refuge and assistance during this difficult time. He brought his father-in-law to one of WAM’s partner clinics, where they received essential medical care and benefited regularly from WAM’s donated medicine distribution project.

During their visits to the clinic, Abdel and his father-in-law built a meaningful bond with the care team, who offered not only medical support but also spiritual encouragement. In his conversations with the team, Abdel shared his struggles—his inability to find work and his wife’s heartbreak over years of infertility. The care team listened compassionately and prayed with Abdel for his family. Grateful for their prayers and kindness, Abdel held onto hope. Eventually, the family was able to return to their home in the Beqaa Valley after a ceasefire was declared.

Recently, we reconnected with Abdel to see how his family was doing after their return. He joyfully shared that he had found a job and that his wife, once believed to be unable to conceive, was now expecting their first child. Abdel also reported that his father-in-law’s health continued to improve. With heartfelt gratitude, he thanked WAM’s team for their prayers, care, and unwavering support during their most challenging days.

In 2024, WAM’s medicine distribution team reached 125,000 people across three war-torn countries, providing lifesaving medicines through our medical projects. Each of these distributions created an opportunity to pray with patients and their families, extending the love of Christ to those enduring profound hardship. We are deeply thankful for the generosity of the WAM family—those who donated medicines, funded transport, and supported logistics to ensure critical aid reached those in need. May God richly bless you for your part in this vital work!
